Intel is raising the performance bar considerably with its next-generation Arrow Lake-HX processors. According to recently leaked information, this series will include a total of six different SKUs (different configurations) from the Core Ultra 9, Core Ultra 7, and Core Ultra 5 models. Intel plans to offer both powerful CPU cores and impressive graphics capabilities in this series.

Competing Against Zen 5 and RDNA 3 The Core Ultra 9 and Core Ultra 7 models attracted attention with their integrated graphics units. These iGPUs with 64 execution units (EU) will provide powerful graphics performance in laptops. At the same time, the Core Ultra 5 models are quite ambitious in graphics performance with 48 EU. These processors will compete with AMD’s new technologies, especially Zen 5 and RDNA 3.
The processors’ clock speeds are also quite impressive. The Core Ultra 9 285HX has P-Cores that can go up to 5.5GHz, while the Core Ultra 7 265HX model reaches speeds of up to 5.3GHz. These speeds are said to make a big difference in gaming performance and heavy workloads.
In Intel’s Arrow Lake-HX series, the processors are configured with 8 performance cores (P Core) and 8 efficiency cores (E Core) or 6P + 8E. That is, the processors will offer both high performance and efficiency.
P Core base | E core base | P Core reinforcement | E Core strengthening | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Core Ultra 9 285HX | 2.8GHz | 2.1GHz | 5.5GHz | 4.6GHz |
Core Ultra 9 275HX | 2.7 GHZ | 2.1GHz | 5.4GHz | 4.6GHz |
Core Ultra 7 265HX | 2.6GHz | 2.3GHz | 5.3GHz | 4.6GHz |
Core Ultra 7 255HX | 2.4GHz | 1.8GHz | 5.2GHz | 4.5GHz |
Core Ultra 5 245HX | 3.1GHz | 2.6GHz | 5.1GHz | 4.5GHz |
Core Ultra 5 235HX | 2.9GHz | 2.6GHz | 5.1GHz | 4.5GHz |
In short, Intel’s Arrow Lake-HX series could definitely create a buzz in the laptop industry when it launches in 2025. Do you think Intel can pull off this series against AMD? You can leave your views in the comments section below.
